The Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Special Education and Child Development is a professional graduate degree that serves experienced educational professionals who have obtained an undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited college or university and who wish to become collaborative instructional leaders who are knowledgeable, effective, reflective and responsive to equity and diversity. Teaching Certificate

The Graduate Certificate in Teaching offers an efficient pathway to initial teacher licensure for candidates who have already earned a bachelor's degree and a 2.70 or higher overall undergraduate GPA. Candidates with lower GPAs should apply as a Post-baccalaureate Pre-Teacher Licensure Pathway (GPA forgiveness) to become eligible for the Graduate Certificate in Teaching program. Urban Education (MED)

UNC Charlotte is particularly focused on providing professionals with practical tools and resources that increase multicultural competence and awareness.

Urban Management and Policy (CERT)

As part of the Master of Public Administration program, the graduate certificate in Urban Management and Policy provides education and training for the public and nonprofit sectors, conducts scholarly and applied research to advance the field of public administration, and serves the community. Specialized training can be obtained in this certificate without having to pursue the MPA master's degree.

Workplace Competencies (CERT)

The Graduate Certificate in Workplace Competencies is designed for graduate students across all disciplines to enhance fundamental professional skills such as written and verbal communication, presentation-building, managing new initiatives, and working in diverse teams.
