What has been your driving force for enrolling in your degree program?
I've always had a passion for technology and for solving real-world problems. Also, the career advancement and opportunities are endless.
Why did you choose UNC Charlotte over other universities?
Logically, it was the closest university to the house we bought. Emotionally, it is where I did my undergrad and where my husband graduated with his master's degree.
What lessons have you learned in your courses that you could apply on the job?
Data analysis and visualization have helped me be a stronger communication consultant. Effective communication is crucial in any field and it has helped my ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
What has been the best part of your academic experience so far?
Personal growth as a result of rigorous challenges and being surrounded by like-minded professors and peers.
How would you describe UNC Charlotte to someone considering a graduate program?
An amazing and eclectic mix of expert faculty and staff, strong industry connections, diverse and multicultural peers all with the same commitment to life-long learning and academic excellence.
What do you hope to accomplish this year in your role as an ambassador?
To be a positive and enthusiastic advocate and liaison between prospective students, current students and faculty/staff.
