The Family Nurse Practitioner Across the Lifespan concentration offer nurses the opportunity to provide primary care in family practice settings. FNPs provide care to individuals and families across the lifespan, promote wellness and disease prevention, meet tomorrow’s health care challenges and provide leadership in the delivery of quality health care. Upon graduation, individuals will be qualified to sit for exams leading to Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and/or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Family Nurse Practitioner Across the Lifespan graduates are prepared to work as primary care providers in (a) Primary Care Practices; (b) Community-based Clinics; (c) Public Health Departments; and (d) Rural/Urban Settings.
