Why did you choose to attend UNC Charlotte for graduate school?
I chose UNC Charlotte for its strong tech programs and supportive environment, but it quickly felt like home. Career fairs and hands-on courses, like the IT Internship Project, helped me apply textbook concepts in real-world ways and opened doors I hadn’t imagined.
What was the transition like from undergraduate to graduate school?
Coming from India, the transition was definitely a learning curve. But UNC Charlotte made it easier with approachable professors, a supportive environment, and a structure that helped me adjust quickly and stay focused.
How does a UNC Charlotte graduate degree prepare you for your future?
The program helped me build both technical skills and real-world experience. Through my internship and TA roles, I got to apply what I learned in class to actual projects. It’s definitely made me more confident and prepared to take on full-time roles after graduation.
How can a new student make the most of their semester/graduate experience?
Be open to exploring everything beyond the classroom. Get involved in projects, connect with professors, and say yes to opportunities like assistantships and internships. Networking and staying proactive made a big difference in both my academic and professional growth.
